Have you ever watched a hilarious accident happening in front of you? A lesson to be learnt from this story: never drive/ park behind a truck and never drive next to them either if you can.

be careful-lol

I agree with you; it is sad. In fact- it is more than just bad because I was empathetic with the Camry driver a lot. But the funny thing in the story is the images- and you are right again- I was there and I can picture the face features over and over again in my head and the reaction of the truck driver when he realized he actually caused an accident! said:I happened onto your blog because of Rachel Fuller, and when I read this entry, I had a flashback to a time when the same thing happened to me!
I was in my little red Volkswagen Golf, and a huge truck was in front of me at a red light. Another truck turned into our road at the intersection, and the truck in front of me decided to back up, so as to avoid being nicked by the turning truck. Apparently the truck in front of me had no view of me, so he just put his huge truck into reverse and backed right into me (at a red light!), PUSHING my poor little VW backwards. Damage was minimal but I was terrified.
It was like being on a ride at an amusement park. Horrid! I honked and yelled but of course he didn't see or hear me.
When our light turned green, the truck driver drove away. I got my car into a nearby parking lot and called the police. Eventually the policeman came, and he said that a truck driver had flagged him down, saying "I might have been in an accident." So we ended up settling and making right with the truck driver. But it taught me that lesson: never relax around a truck, and be aware that they probably can't see you. I also try to leave a lot of space between me and a truck at all times. It makes me feel a bit safer.
Phew!
Nice to "meet" you, virtually. Your blog is fascinating.
